Where to start where to start… how about at the beginning?

So, on Friday night we went to a Caedmon’s Call show.  I don’t think we’ve seen Caedmon’s since the first year we were married so it was a nice way to spend the evening.  Andrew Osenga really takes an aging band and makes it excellent again.  His solos are standouts and his contributions to the 4 part harmonies make it exceptional.  Oh, that and having Derek Webb back in the band.  Woo.

Afterward we went to Kerby Lane.  Love that place.  Had a great Panini there at 10:30 at night.  We hung out with Tom and Ashley (woo!) and got to have a good time as couples.

Saturday was, by comparison, a lazy day.  I cooked Simmanon Rolls and we had left overs for lunch.  In the afternoon I finally beat all 121 stars on Super Mario Galaxy with Luigi.  When I said back in January that I finally beat it–well that meant I beat it “on easy” — after that I finished all the hard levels and then played through the WHOLE THING again with Luigi.  So, two months later, here we are.  And for the last 2 months I’ve only been playing on the weekends.  All in all, it was a cool accomplishment.

Later that afternoon I visited a friend in the hospital who has a long recovery ahead of him.  Be praying for Mac’s leg if you think of it on Tuesday… he’s going into surgery again.

When I got back we hung out, watched some “Super Whys” and  put the kids down.  Then it became “LOST” marathon time.  This is the time where you go to abc.com and watch as many “LOST” episodes as you can before you pass out.

This turned out to be a bad idea on Sunday because we had to get up and get the whole family to church at 7:45 AM.  We stayed there until 2:00 and then came BACK at 6!  Wow.  It was really crazy, but it was a lot of fun.  I’d say it was one of the more pleasant Sundays that we’ve had in a while.

After we put the kids down, we resisted the “LOST” addiction and watched “Across the Universe” that we rented.  It was okay and I liked the songs, but man was it weird in the middle.   I suppose that’s how the Beatles career went as well.

Of course, after we were done with it, we couldn’t resist watching another “LOST” — we are pathetic — but it was good.  Soon we’ll be caught up with the whole thing and we can wait with bated breath each week.

Until then, there’s our weekend.  How was yours?
