In the last 10 days we’ve been to a funeral, the park, two small groups, worship practice, a rehearsal and the dinner that followed, a bachelor party, a wedding, a surprise birthday party, four doctors appointments, worship and ministry at church, DWAP, and a cookout in our front yard, all with 1.25 jobs, a pregnant wife, and two kids that got into poison ivy (see above:).
You know what, though? It was a great week. The wedding was beautiful, the bachelor party was fun, worship was really REAL, and our cookout was awesome. Meeting neighbors makes me smile.
Today I am getting ready for a long day and a push at work to get something done before the baby comes. I’d love it if Andrea went into labor when we get checked at the OB in 20 minutes. I really can’t wait to meet this little one. I want to know what his or her name is and hold them. I want to watch them sleep and comfort them when they scream. I am so looking forward to being a daddy of an infant again.
Yeah, when I think about it, I know this week may have been busy and tiring, but next week is going to make this week look like a cakewalk.
Oh well, here we gooooooooo!!!!!
