It’s time to head off to Pop and Nana’s house.   It’s been quite some time since we’ve all gone and it is Rachel’s first trip out of town.  It’s also our first trip in our van.   What a deal.

The big question is whether or not the Ray-ray will make it through the trip with her lungs in tact.  She has been doing much better in the car lately, but she hasn’t had to stay in it for 3.5 hours yet.   Timothy and Bethany were always pros at traveling, except for one incident when Bethany was about 6 months old.   We’re hoping there’s no issues on this trip.

My dad is also part of a melodrama that their church is putting on.   Looking forward to seeing that with the kids.   As a bonus, my dad’s birthday is this weekend–that means we’ll have to break our “no junk food” diet to be polite and eat cake.   Darn.

I guess it’s not over any rivers or through any woods.  How about, “Over the highway and through the bare fields, to Pop and Nana’s house we go.”

That’s better.

  1. I just want to remind you of when you came to visit us in Houston and we knew when you arrived before you rang the bell because Timothy was crying so much. When we asked you how long he had been crying you said, ” the whole time”.
